TMS camshaft and oversize stainless steel valves packages are the ultimate combination for street and racing use. These are the same sets that we install in our Level III to V modified cylinder head assemblies, which we reccommend for the highest torque and power levels. The airflow and power improvements from these over-size, Indy car design valves are very significant and allow you to make much higher power levels with less cam timing. That means a wider torque band, better mileage, better emissions and longer life for the engine.
The different Levels of camshaft sets are carefully selected to provide the specific performance that you are seeking. It is vital for you to realize that the 32 valve 4.6 engine with it's flow characteristics provide for such a broad power band that cams that are used for racing can also make for excellent street cams. The same cams that are used in the Accufab race engine are also being used by some of our street/racing Cobra customers with great results. How can that be? We are able to tune the engine differently with cam timing, intake, exhaust, engine management and other specs that give that kind of flexibility. So, there can be a lot of crossover between the street and racing sets, we can make them work for your specific needs.
We have developed unique combinations with our valve train componentry that give better valve sealing, reduced oil consumption, reduced seat deterioration and overall improved valvetrain stability. We have consulted with the factory engineers at Advanced Powertrain and the TMS improvements that have resulted give your street or racing 32 valve Ford engine longer life and higher power levels. The following component sets are specially engineered to work together and we do not recommend mixing them with other components.
