The very first place to start increasing
the power of your Cobra is the exhaust system. It is critical to the output
of the 32-valve engine to scavenge the exhaust effectively and that depends
upon the Level of tune and the total flow requirements. Go too big on
a Level I or II engine and you will lose torque and mid range. Too small
a pipe on a Level III or IV and you will never reach the power potential
of the engine. The 4-valve exhaust port on a high flow cylinder head needs
at least a 1 7/8" primary and you will not lose torque with it, you will
gain torque and power throughout the power band. Our new Level II and
III 1 3/4" mid-length header bridges the gap between the SVO shortie and
our long tube headers and uses a modified Bassani X-pipe, giving advanced
scavenging and flow in an easily installed and affordable package. Horsepower
gains are in comparison to a stock system and will increase as the power
level goes up. All TMS headers are of the highest quality construction
and are hand built. We use 1/2" flanges for leak proof sealing, 14 gauge
tubing for rugged durability and ceramic coatings for heat insulation
and a lasting appearance. You'll love em!

Level III engines using milder cam timing with the TMS Level III oversize
stainless valve heads. It does not offer the overall power production
of the long tube 1 3/4" to 2" headers but does work very well
and is a cost effective alternative that installs in a stock Cobra. Supplied
with a modified Bassani 2 1/2" Hi-Flo Cat X-pipe. Refer to

Level IV Exhaust-

TMS Level IV exhaust systems are
designed to provide the higher flow capacities
required by race and pro-street engines. We offer Level IV systems
with 3" high flow catalysts for street use and they reduce the performance
by only a very small amount. These systems have been developed on the
dyno and offer you a choice in power and price.

synchronizing crossovers offers high flow capacity at a significant cost
saving. The X-style pipes provide excellent scavenging without requiring
major modifications to the car to install. Effective up to 750 hp with
supercharging, use with a 3" cat-back system.

TMS long tube race headers are a proven performer at the 850 to 900 hp
level, and should work just as well as we go over 1000 hp. A
step primary design for broad torque production with 1 7/8" to 2" primaries
and a 3 1/2" collector, connecting to a 3 1/2"Dr.Gas synchronizing crossover.
This is a very large system that must be used with the TMS tubular lightweight
K-member. May be used with a 3" or custom 3 1/2" system.
