Audience

San Francisco's North Bay area of Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties is home to many technologically innovative businesses as well as a region world renowned for food and wine. The geography and opportunities of this region have attracted a large number of people who are intellectually open and creative. This is just the audience that will enjoy a nice scenic drive out to the coast to enjoy a stimulating mix of nature, art, performance and technology. Here are some of the
planned major features of

the Bodega Bay
Festival of the Winds:

  • International environmental artist, Doron Gazit
(3 Olympics, Disney Parks, SuperBowl, etc- see www.airdd.com ) will create a large work of air sculpture involving the coastal landscape of the ranch, leaving no trace but memory at the conclusion.

  • Visionary historical technologist Dr. Maureen Clemmons will present, with her team, demonstrations of how a kite powered device has so far lifted 3.5 tons in 22 seconds. Dr. Clemmons has conceived a well documented theory that this is how the ancient Egyptians may have built the pyramids and other large monuments. She has been profiled in publications, on TV and by National Geographic showing the incredible power of harnessed wind.

  • 3-4 whimsical "Wind-Wagons" with wind turbine power supplies. These could be high-school extra-curricular projects mentored by engineers from some local tech firms. Supported by sponsor donations of trailer platforms and turbines. Possible fund-raising tie-in for school service club or ....?

  • Multi-kite ballet performed to music--we are contacting some fantastic, talented people in the Bay area who have performed internationally

  • A working wind-turbine generating project- with some creative way to demonstrate how the average small property owner would have a useful amount of power to be a significant supplemental supply.
